The article considers the question of Christian understanding of “the love” and, particularly, the reflections about its double nature: “terrestrial” and “heavenly”. The author notes that the orthodox tradition of understanding of “the love” has Old Slavic sources where “the love” was perceived as a certain cosmological principle uniting terrestrial and heavenly worlds.
